Supavadee Aramvith (IEEE S’95-M’01-SM’06, IEICE M’04) received the B.S. (first class honors) degree in Computer Science from Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand, in 1993. She received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington, Seattle, USA, in 1996 and 2001, respectively. She joined Chulalongkorn University in June 2001. Currently, she is currently an Associate Professor at Department of Electrical Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. Currently, she is an Associate Professor at Department of Electrical Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. She was Associate Head in International Affairs (2007-2016), Head, Communication Engineering Division (2013-2016), Head, Digitial Signal Processiong Laboratory (2017-2018).
Her research specialization is in the areas of video coding and processing, specifically error resilience for wireless video transmission, video analytics for surveillance applications, and embedded computer vision system. She has successfully advised 9 Ph.D., 27 Master’s, and 32 Bachelor’s degree graduates.
A prolific researcher, she published over 130 papers in international conference proceedings and journals along with four chapters in internationally published books. She has also a rich experience in project management, having served as project leader and former technical committee chair to the NBTC and the former MICT of Thailand. In addition, she is very active in the international arena with leadership positions in international networks such as the JICA Project for AUN/SEED-Net, and professional organizations such as IEEE, IEICE, APSIPA, and ITU. At present, she is a member of the IEEE Educational Activities Board (EAB) and chair of the IEEE EAB Pre-University Education Coordination Committee. She is also communication chairs, IEEE Humanitarian Activities Committee, IEEE new initiative committee member, and Board of Governors member, IEEE Consumer Electronics Society. She is also Thailand Chapter Chair of IEEE Signal Processing Society and Region 10 representative of its chapters committee. She was IEICE Bangkok Section Chair. She led the Educational Activities and Women in Engineering committees for IEEE Asia Pacific (Region 10) from 2011-2016.
Harish Mysore is the Senior Director of IEEE and Manager IEEE’s India Operations Center. He has 25 years of Industry experience. Prior to joining IEEE in 2011 Harish Mysore has worked in IBM India as Program Director for Semiconductor R&D and Design Division and also managed IP Licensing and Alliances for IBM in India. Harish has also worked in Texas Instruments as General Manager, Motorola, Analog Devices and Wipro in technology development and business leadership roles.
In his current role as Senior Director-IEEE India Operations, Harish is managing a team of 50 staff in India., The organization works on IEEE Standards, Software development, Marketing and Sales for India Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. India office is instrumental in Development of Educational programs in India and to increase IEEE visibility in India through Various initiatives. He is also working on expanding IEEE membership base and improves membership experience in India. Harish is working towards bringing internationally acclaimed IEEE seminars and Conferences to India.
He is member of several associations and Industry bodies in India, Harish has deep understanding of technology and public policy, besides Harish is an active farmer.
