The objectives of the Junior Einstein Track include:

  • Global Showcase and Collaboration:Create an international platform for participants to showcase talents, innovations, and foster collaborations, laying the groundwork for future partnerships.
  • Next-Gen Innovator Recognition: Identify, recognize, and motivate the next generation of innovators to develop viable solutions for social issues through their creative ideas.
  • Societal Impact through STEM: Motivate students to leverage STEM concepts in developing products that address societal needs, contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Hands-on Experience and Skill Development: Provide participants with hands-on experience in technology and engineering projects, fostering the development of critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a passion for STEM fields.
  • Teamwork, Collaboration, and Innovation: Cultivate a culture of teamwork and collaboration while fostering creativity and innovation among participants, empowering them to think creatively and approach challenges collectively.

Who is eligible?

Junior high school students worldwide (12 – 17 year olds) who have-

  • Keen interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)
  • Passion for creativity and curiosity in STEM
  • Desire to contribute to the world of STEM through innovative projects and problem-solving

Rules for participation

  • Team size: Maximum of 4 members.
  • Participant’s Age: 12 to 17 years. Proof for the same shall be submitted. (Bonafide letter from school or birth certificate)
  • Team members may come from different academic institutions/industries and from different countries. Only the registered members of the team will be given certificates. Mentor names should also accompany the team registration.

  • Teams are locked along with abstract submission and no further changes to team members and mentors can be made thereafter.
  • The evaluation will be based on the following criteria: Novelty / Innovation, Participant’s knowledge on concept / market demand, Technical implementation, Expandability of the project idea/prototype to an actual product or solution, Clarity of pitch.
  • Plagiarism at any forms or at any stage is strictly prohibited.
  • Each team is solely responsible for its own cooperation and teamwork.

***The projects can be a software solution or hardware integrated.

Methodology

  • The participants will be evaluated in either of the two modes: 1. Pilot entry mode 2. Direct entry mode.
  • Direct entry mode is for participants from countries without Pilots and will be evaluated based on their submission of Abstract, PPT, Video demonstration of their project.
  • Pilot entry mode will select the eligible teams for participation by conducting a preliminary project competition in their venue.
  • Teams need to submit the problem statement and the detailed solution as a ppt.
  • The submissions will be evaluated by experts/Jury and selection will be made based on the expert’s/Jury’s recommendation.
  • Selected teams will be notified about their selection
  • Teams will be asked to submit an executive summary and video demonstration of their project.
  • During the finale team’s has to present their project virtually at the venue and the projects will be evaluated by the jury.
  • Prizes will be awarded at the finale based on the recommendation and acceptance by jury, track chair and general chair.

Selection Method

Stage 1 - Abstracts scrutinization and Prelims

Abstract submission is open to all school students between the age of 12 and 17. Participants should submit their abstracts either via Pilots, and Direct Entry. Evaluation of pilot and direct entry will be done separately.
A) Participants submitted via direct entry will be evaluated based on your abstract submission. Innovative and Creative projects will be selected for the finals and the teams will be intimated via Email.
B) Participants submitted via pilot entry will have to present their project in a preliminary round conducted by pilots. Participants selected in the preliminary round will be allowed for Finals

Stage 2 - Grand Finale

Selected teams will present their project works before the juries during the finals. Evaluation will be carried out based on the criteria.
